WORLD's top forwarder Kuehne+Nagel is expanding in Asia with the launch of a new 2,800-square metre Container Freight Station (CFS) in Bangkok near Laem Chabang Port, reports the Bangkok Post.

This development aims to enhance less-than-container load (LCL) services, offering faster cargo consolidation and deconsolidation, while also introducing electric vehicles for all LCL pick-ups across Thailand.

As a major hub for Asia-North America and Asia-Europe trade routes, Laem Chabang Port plays a crucial role in regional and global logistics.

Kuehne+Nagel's investment not only strengthens Thailand's position as a key logistics hub but also aligns with the Port Authority of Thailand's (PAT) 2030 vision to transform all its ports into smart, sustainable logistics centres.

By integrating EV-powered transportation, Kuehne+Nagel actively contributes to PAT's carbon neutrality roadmap, enhancing the efficiency and environmental impact of supply chain operations.

Said K+N regional manager David Roussiere: "Laem Chabang plays a pivotal role in global trade and regional cargo distribution. As part of our Roadmap 2026, this investment reinforces Thailand's role as a key logistics hub while driving innovation and sustainability in the global supply chain."
